1. About this policy
Daily Ping Technology Enterprise ("Daily Ping", "we", "us", or "our") provides the Daily Ping check-in service and this website. This policy explains how we handle personal information when you create an account, check in, add trusted contacts, or contact us.
You can read this policy without creating an account or signing in. For privacy questions or requests, email support@dailyping.net.
2. What we collect and why
We collect information you provide, information shared by your chosen sign-in provider, and records generated when you use the service.
- Your name
- To identify your profile, personalise messages, and help your trusted contacts recognise who a check-in or alert concerns.
- Your email address
- To support account sign-in and recovery, send account and service emails, and respond to support requests.
- Your phone number
- To deliver SMS reminders or service notifications where enabled and identify the number associated with your account.
- Your address (optional)
- To provide additional context to your trusted contacts when you choose to include it in your profile or an alert. Providing an address is optional.
- Trusted-contact names
- To identify and organise the people you choose to receive notifications.
- Trusted-contact email addresses and phone numbers
- To send check-in-related notifications or missed-check-in alerts through email or SMS, according to your settings. Please let your contacts know and obtain their permission before adding their details.
- Account identifier
- A unique account ID links your profile, settings, contacts, and check-in records to the correct account and helps us authenticate access and resolve support issues.
- Check-in timestamps and history
- To record when you check in, display your history, determine whether a scheduled check-in was missed, and trigger the appropriate reminders or trusted-contact alerts.
- Time zone
- To schedule check-ins and reminders and display dates and times correctly for you.
- Country or region
- To apply regional settings, interpret telephone country codes, and support message delivery and service availability.
If you contact support or send an enquiry, we also use the name, email address, and message you provide to respond and handle your request. The website contact links open your email application; you choose whether to send a message.
4. How long we keep information
We keep your account identifier, profile, trusted-contact details, settings, and check-in timestamps and history for as long as you have a Daily Ping account. Deleting your account through Profile → Settings → Delete account removes all of your Daily Ping account data.
Support correspondence is kept for as long as needed to handle your request and meet applicable legal obligations. Service providers may retain their own message-delivery, security, or legally required records under their retention policies. Messages already delivered to you or your trusted contacts remain with their recipients.
Contact support@dailyping.net for questions about retention of support correspondence or service-provider records.
5. Delete your account and data
You can delete your account directly in the app:
- Open Profile.
- Go to Settings.
- Select Delete account and follow the prompts to complete deletion.
Deleting your account removes all of your Daily Ping account data, including your account and authentication record, name, email address, phone number, optional address, saved trusted-contact names and contact details, settings, time zone, country or region, and check-in timestamps and history. Check-ins, reminders, and alerts associated with the deleted account stop.
If you cannot sign in or need help, you can also request deletion by email:
- Email support@dailyping.net with the subject "Daily Ping account and data deletion".
- Send the request from the email address associated with your Daily Ping account where possible. Include enough information to identify the account, such as its registered email address or account identifier. Never send your password or a verification code.
- We may ask you to verify account ownership before processing the request. We will confirm when deletion is complete.
Uninstalling the app or revoking Google or Apple sign-in access does not by itself delete your Daily Ping account. Deleting your Daily Ping account does not delete your Google or Apple account or messages already delivered to you or your trusted contacts.
You can also email us to request access to or correction of your information, or removal of specific data. Trusted contacts can use the same address to request removal of their contact details. We may need to verify the requester's identity to protect everyone's information.
6. How we protect information
We use HTTPS to protect information in transit, account authentication through Amazon Cognito, and access controls to limit access to personal information to authorised people and services that need it to operate or support Daily Ping. We use our providers' security controls and keep service credentials out of public website code.
No system can guarantee complete security. Keep your sign-in credentials private, secure the email account you use for Daily Ping, and contact support@dailyping.net if you suspect unauthorised access.
7. Changes to this policy
This policy takes effect on . We may update it as the service, our providers, or applicable requirements change. We publish the revised policy at dailyping.net/privacy and update the effective date and last-updated date shown above.
For material changes to how we use or share personal information, we will notify users through the app or their account email before the changes take effect and request consent where required.
